Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team as a Teaching Support Professional. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the classroom.


About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience working with students with SEND and be able to support the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities. The role involves providing one-to-one support to students who require additional help, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with other staff members.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEND in the classroom, developing their academic and social skills.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and deliver individualized educational activities, enhancing student outcomes.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance, focusing on their specific needs.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and well-being.
  • Work effectively with other staff members, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements
  • Recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Enhanced DBS check and knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Minimum GCSEs in English and Maths, demonstrating strong academic foundation.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £450-£480 per week, inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. As a full-time position, you can expect to earn a competitive salary and enjoy various benefits.
