Financial Accountant

Greenwell Gleeson is seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join their team in Norwich. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, as well as providing support for audit and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement efficient financial reporting processes to meet tight deadlines.
- Ensure robust controls are in place for balance sheet reconciliations and regular reviews of control accounts.
- Conduct month-end balance sheet reviews and variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Provide audit support for annual statutory audits and internal audits.
- Oversee intercompany and related party transactions, including month-end intercompany matrix reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of UK VAT returns and reconciliations.
- Support fixed asset reporting and control, including right-of-use leased assets.
- Direct line management of a team of 3.
- Contribute to the development of technical accounting policies and considerations.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
- ACCA or ICAEW qualified.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, FRS101, and UKGAAP.
- UK VAT knowledge and experience.
- Fixed asset reporting experience.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with experience of mentoring and coaching direct reports.
- SAP experience and knowledge of US GAAP/SOX.
- UK Corporation tax knowledge and experience of working in the manufacturing sector.
