Key Responsibilities:
  • Improve reporting efficiency and controls to ensure timely month-end close deadlines are met.
  • Implement robust controls on balance sheet reconciliations, including regular reviews of control accounts.
  • Conduct month-end balance sheet reviews and variance analysis.
  • Oversee month-end procedures, including journal postings and key control account reconciliations.
  • Provide audit support for annual statutory audits and internal audits.
  • Prepare statutory accounts.
  • Develop and maintain intercompany and related party transactions controls, including month-end intercompany matrix reconciliation.
  • Complete UK VAT returns and reconcile them.
  • Support fixed asset reporting and control, including right-of-use leased assets.
  • Oversee other statutory reporting, such as ONS returns.
  • Lead a team of three as a direct line manager.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified or at finalist level (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with a strong understanding of month and year-end requirements. A solid grasp of reporting standards is essential, and a corporate audit background would be advantageous.
