About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Operations Manager to join our team at British Sugar. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing our sugar beet growers and ensuring the successful cultivation of our crops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our growers, providing them with expert advice and support to optimize their crop yields and profitability.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor crop health and provide guidance on best practices for sugar beet cultivation.
  • Work closely with our industry partners to identify and develop new revenue opportunities and improve our growers' overall performance.
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination across the organization.
  • Develop and implement robust business plans to drive growth and profitability for our growers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve our growers' operations and competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a field-based role with account management responsibilities and exposure to working with KPIs and targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with growers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively throughout the region.
