Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revenues and Benefits Specialist to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our Revenues and Benefits department, you will be responsible for processing Housing and Council Tax changes, RTI cases, and new claims in accordance with established procedures and KPIs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • To meet the required standards and deadlines for processing and completing tasks, with minimal support and supervision.
  • To maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, sharing best practices and knowledge to improve overall performance.
  • To stay up-to-date with industry developments and changes, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of using Northgate / Academy / IBS (Civica) Systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Housing Benefits and Council Tax, with a strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with a flexible approach to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
  • IT competence, with experience of using a range of software applications.
