Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Revenues and Benefits Assessor to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our processing centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient processing of Housing / Council tax changes, RTI cases, and new claims.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • To meet the required standards and deadlines for processing, with a focus on accuracy and productivity.
  • To maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant procedures, regulations, and systems, including Northgate / Academy / IBS (Civica) Systems.
  • To coach and mentor junior staff, sharing best practices and expertise to enhance team performance.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements, identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting solutions.
  • To maintain a positive and constructive attitude, taking on additional duties as required and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience of using Northgate / Academy / IBS (Civica) Systems.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Housing Benefits / Council Tax.
  • IT competence and self-motivation.
