Senior Automation and Robotics Engineer Specialist

Job Title: Senior Automation and Robotics Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation and Robotics Engineer to join our team at HelloFresh. As a Senior Automation and Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing automation systems, conducting root cause analysis of downtime events, and leading continuous improvement projects across the engineering department.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned automation, robotics, and control panels.
- Lead continuous improvement projects across the engineering department.
- Mentor maintenance personnel in developing skills and knowledge of equipment specializing in automation, controls, and robotics.
- Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events.
- Act as a network resource for technical issues and lead network-wide root cause analysis.
- Develop maintenance personnel knowledge on intermediate to advanced automation, controls, and robotics.
- Partner with engineering on commissioning of new controls systems.
- Act as a proxy for the Engineering Shift Manager as and when required.
Requirements:
- Experienced in either Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Maintenance Engineering.
- Obtained a Mechatronics, Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering degree, qualifications, or related field of study.
- Experience of having worked in a manufacturing and/or production environment such as FMCG.
- Experience in PLC controlled automation and automated processes is a must for this position.
- In-depth experience working with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, etc. to include programming, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
- Strong computer skills.
- Having had plenty of dealings and exposure with material handling, flow, and capacity visualization and monitoring.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Working Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday - 6am to 6pm - DAYS
