Job Title: Vessel Operations Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Vessel Operations Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a Vessel Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vessels in the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mobilization and Pre-Commissioning: Coordinate mobilization activities, including wet buckle contingency and pre-commissioning spread preparation onboard.
  • Anchor Pile Installation: Assist in the installation of anchor piles and support the Castorone team for initiation of PLET installation (compensation buoy installation and retrieval).
  • Touch Down Point Monitoring: Monitor touch down points during the Castorone pipelay campaign and be prepared to intervene in case of wet buckle.
  • Laydown PLET Installation: Support the Castorone team for laydown PLET installation (compensation buoy installation and retrieval).
  • Pre-Commissioning Campaign: Participate in the pre-commissioning campaign, including flooding, cleaning, and gauging.
  • Documentation and Procurement: Liaise with the engineering team to ensure all required documentation is prepared, shared, and commented by the vessel crew. Follow up on the procurement of all items requested by the vessel for project execution.
  • Interface with Vessel Team: Interface with the vessel team to guarantee project requirements are met.
  • Marine Spread Readiness: Interface with the ASSETs department to guarantee the marine spread readiness.
  • Vessel Operations Engineer Duties: Liaise with the onshore PMT, VMT, OCM, and CLIENT representative to ensure that the requirements of CLIENT specifications and the CONTRACTOR installation manual are followed.
  • Engineering Support: Assist the OCM in all engineering aspects and advise on project-specific items.
  • Technical Queries and Management of Change Requests: Complete onsite technical queries and manage change requests as required during offshore operations.
  • Task Plan Review and Approval: Review and approve task plans pertaining to pipeline operations which are written offshore, to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
  • Document Control: Jointly responsible with the QC Coordinator for ensuring the correct revisions of documents are available on-board.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., marine engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in vessel operations, offshore operations, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of vessel operations, offshore operations, and pipeline engineering. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
