About the School:

This is a two-form entry school with a Good Ofsted rating, seeking a Year 2 Teacher from April 2024. The school is a mosaic of cultures, creating a rich and dynamic tapestry that reflects the global community we live in. The school's curriculum is designed to celebrate differences, fostering a deep appreciation for various perspectives and backgrounds.

Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities

As a Year 2 teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 1, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Teaching the Key Stage 1 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses

Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

Year 2 Teacher Requirements

A qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent

A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results

A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Patience, resilience, and a passion for teaching

A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
