Major Loss Building Surveyor

Salary Range: £60,000 - £90,000 + Car + Bonus
Location: Nationwide
This is a rewarding role that involves working with our Property team to handle general material damage losses and complex building-related issues. Claims can range from £20,000 to over £1 million in value, with an average claim of £250,000.
You will work alongside one of our experienced adjusters to progress and settle insurance claims efficiently. Your tasks will include initial visits to assess damage, establishing defect diagnoses, and ensuring that all necessary planning, building regulations, and CDM issues are addressed.
You will also be responsible for arranging testing, preparing reports, and resolving complaints. All claims will require appraisal reports with budget costings and recommendations.
This role is ideal for an experienced Surveyor with MRICS qualification who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess damage and establish defect diagnoses
- Progress and settle insurance claims efficiently
- Ensure compliance with planning, building regulations, and CDM requirements
- Arrange testing and prepare reports
- Resolve complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- MRICS qualification
- Experience in building surveying and loss adjusting
