Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. As a leading provider of engineering and construction services to the UK transmission and distribution sector, we are at the forefront of net zero 2050 with a secured workstream for years to come.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide commercial support concerning financial and contractual matters arising through the management of our client project.
  • Post award contract administration, provision of commercial/contract deliverables, implementation of project plans.
  • Undertake costs analysis, preparation of cashflow forecasts, developing subcontracting commercial strategy as required.
  • Contribute to internal project reviews and developing project forecasts.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies along with appropriate professional qualification (preferred).
  • Substantial demonstrated experience within a QS or Senior QS role preferably gained from a transmission and distribution overhead lines background.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures.
  • Proven experience in contract administration including change management.
