Trainee Practitioner

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to join our team as a Trainee Practitioner in the Recovery Support Directorate. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with vulnerable adults in recovery and support them on their journey towards a positive and productive life.
Key Responsibilities- Shadow a member of the team and receive guidance and support to develop skills and knowledge in the role.
- Contribute to the smooth running of events and Forward reunions, including social events, fundraising events, and celebratory events.
- Assist the communications team in researching and writing copy, new stories, and case studies for internal and external audiences.
- Promote the Forward Connect network and its interventions to stakeholders, including supported housing projects and local external agencies.
- Support the development of social media channels, website, and intranet, and conduct research to support new projects and activities within Forward Connect.
- Develop links with relevant agencies, including residential rehabs, supported housing/housing providers, and other local organisations offering volunteering opportunities.
- Facilitate Forward Connect meetings as required and develop skills in data collection and recording for audit, research, and reporting purposes.
- Motivated and self-driven individual with a passion for working with vulnerable adults in recovery.
- Desirable skills and experience include an understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults, experience of previous offending or homelessness, and a commitment to equal opportunity and client confidentiality.
- Ability to manage own workload effectively to deadlines and targets.
- Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths, or ability to meet qualification requirements in English and Maths.
