Food Preparation Specialist

We're seeking a skilled and passionate Culinary Team Member to join our team at Chartwells. This full-time role is contracted to 37.5 hours per week, providing an ideal work-life balance.
As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality food that meets the expectations of our clients and customers. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that every dish that leaves our kitchen is of the highest standard.
The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to a high standard, using fresh ingredients and following strict health and safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking meats, vegetables, and other ingredients
- Represent Chartwells in a professional manner, maintaining a positive brand image
Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role or a relevant culinary qualification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Exceptional timekeeping and reliability
