Supply Chain Director

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as Procurement & Supply Chain Director, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our supply chain and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities- Coach and lead the purchasing team and organisation in your area of expertise.
- Provide strategic supply base management including supplier selection, negotiations, and supplier relationship/performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement in indirect material procurement and contracting.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Oversee the procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Stay abreast of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
- MCIPS Professional Diploma in Purchasing & Supply (Level 6) or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Experience of single and 2 stage procurement routes from setting project specific procurement strategy to final draft of subcontract documents.
- Commercial Negotiation scope, price, payment terms and conditions of purchase or sub-contract.
