We are seeking a highly experienced Nuclear Risk Manager to join our team at AWE Plc.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise in the assessment of nuclear, explosive, and other major hazards associated with actual, planned and/or decommissioned facilities, plant, equipment or product.
  • They will also develop safety cases for a range of facilities including radioactive, explosives and chemical plant, and advise on strategies for the development of safety assessments.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £72,500 per annum, plus a range of benefits including a 9-day working fortnight, 270 hours of annual leave, and a market-leading contributory pension scheme.

Requirements
  • Applicants must have demonstrable experience of working on multi-disciplined projects and familiarity with one or more of the following areas: risk assessments, safety justifications, complex safety analyses, and associated documentation.
  • They must also be able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
