Job Title: Automation and Reliability Professional

HelloFresh is seeking an experienced Automation and Reliability Professional to join our team in Derby. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance, repairs, and improvements of both automated and non-automated systems on-site.

About the Role:
  • You will ensure the maintenance, repairs, and improvements of automated and non-automated systems on-site.
  • You will actively monitor, troubleshoot, and repair systems to provide maximum equipment availability.
  • You will perform routine maintenance on automation, robotics, and control panels.
  • You will diagnose and address issues in out-of-service equipment; escalate complex issues as necessary.
  • You will record all work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate.
  • You will work with contractors to ensure projects are completed to specification, addressing performance issues as needed.
  • You will participate in cross-functional projects as required.
  • You will engage in predictive maintenance activities to maintain machine uptime for operational needs.
  • You will provide training and mentorship to Junior Engineers on reliability practices and techniques.
  • You will adhere to and support food safety and health & safety standards.
  • You will participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for continuous improvement.About You:
    • You hold a degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
    • You are skilled in material handling, flow and capacity visualisation, and monitoring.
    • You are proficient in PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in continuous production environments.
    • You have extensive experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, including programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
    • You have an advanced understanding of PLCs and automated processes.
    • You possess strong problem-solving abilities for technical issues in automation systems.
    • You have excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within budget.

    • Estimated salary range £42,000 - £52,000 per annum.
