In this role, you will be part of our residential service dedicated to supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities. Our approach to care encompasses the entirety of a person's life, ensuring that our services are personalized and human-centered. As a Care Support Specialist, you will adopt a person-centered approach in all facets of the clients' lives, which includes managing their living environment, providing personal care, facilitating access to community resources, and maintaining connections with significant individuals in their lives. Our services are tailored to promote independence, and you will support individuals with learning disabilities, Autism, and various health conditions. Attendance at medical appointments may be required, and a full UK driving license is preferred.

Shift Patterns

This is a 24-hour service, necessitating flexibility in your schedule. You will work various shifts, including early morning to afternoon and afternoon to evening, as well as sleep-ins or waking nights, including some weekends.

Key Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

This role involves hands-on engagement, where no two days are alike. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Encouraging the independence of those we support by fostering their life skills and personal interests.
  • Assisting with a variety of daily tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, and organizing outings.
  • Coordinating activities both at home and within the local community.
  • Providing assistance with personal care and manual handling.
  • Supporting individuals with their medication needs.
  • Utilizing a digital social care record system to streamline daily tasks, allowing you to focus more on the individuals we support.
