Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our innovative team at The Focusrite Group. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-quality embedded software for our audio products.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of embedded firmware architecture, C and C++ programming, and real-time operating systems. You will work closely with our cross-functional team to refine product specifications, develop innovative designs, and ensure the successful delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-quality embedded software for our audio products
  • Collaborate with the team to refine product specifications and develop innovative designs
  • Develop and maintain complex software systems, including firmware and drivers
  • Work closely with the hardware team to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our software development processes
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of embedded firmware architecture and C and C++ programming
  • Experience with real-time operating systems, such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr
  • Knowledge of MCU programming, including STM32 and ARM
  • Experience with wireless communications technology, such as Bluetooth and WiFi
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
