About the Role
We are seeking a SHEQ Advisor to join our Health & Safety Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day SHEQ audits, health and safety, environmental, quality, and energy management.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular SHEQ site inspections and prepare reports.
- Stop any unsafe working practices and raise the matter with site management.
- Be aware of the Company's Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Energy Management systems and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of safety plans and updates.
- Carry out drugs and alcohol testing on sites when instructed.
- Liaise with HSE and participate in discussions with bodies concerned with accident prevention.
- Attend safety meetings and prepare toolbox talks.
- Investigate minor site accidents and report as necessary.
- Produce method statements and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Skills
NEBOSH Certified
IOSH Certified (Desirable)
Experience in a similar role within the engineering or construction sectors
Strong IT knowledge and effective communication skills
Time Management Skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
