Contract Type: Part-time (3 days per week Mon, Tues, Wed)

Salary: MPS (depending on experience)

About Us:

We are a well-established and highly regarded primary school in Nelson known for our supportive and inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to thrive both academically and personally. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 3 Educator to join our team on a maternity cover basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress to ensure high achievement and personal development.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and carers.
  • Uphold the school's values and contribute to its community-focused ethos.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably Year 3.
  • A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Ability to inspire and engage pupils of varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience in planning differentiated lessons and providing tailored support to meet the needs of individual learners.
