About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our payments team at Avaloq. As a Business Analyst specialising in payments, you will play a key role in helping our organisation to optimise payment processes, analyse and address customer issues, and gather new requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions to meet market demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and analyse payment processes to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into payment solutions, documenting them in our internal tools.
  • Design and build functionalities to implement business solutions in Avaloq.
  • Stay updated on payment industry regulations and standards.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and internal requests, manage client interaction during testing phase, and take care of bug fixing and potential change requests.
  • Collaborate with developers during implementation and testing of new and existing functionality and bugfixes.
  • Work with colleagues from different locations and cultures.
  • Participate in Agile practices and ceremonies and work according to the Agile principles.
Requirements
  • Strong track record of working in business analysis, ideally in payment industry and Agile environments.
  • Good knowledge of payment transaction products with a familiarity with payment industry regulations.
  • Excellent logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn and understand business needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
  • Experience with applications such as JIRA or Confluence is a plus.
