Design Manager

At Recra Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to lead our design team in the steel fabrication industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and engineering processes, ensuring accurate and efficient design development, and collaborating closely with project managers, production teams, and clients to meet project requirements and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Design Strategy Development: Develop and implement design strategies to meet project goals, industry standards, and client specifications.
- Project Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Design Standards and Compliance: Ensure adherence to design standards, codes, and regulations.
- Team Management: Manage a team of designers, drafters, and engineers, assigning tasks and providing guidance.
- Design Software Proficiency: Oversee the creation and modification of engineering and fabrication drawings using appropriate software and tools.
- Task Delegation: Delegating tasks, designs, and projects across the team.
- Project Coordination: Being the main coordinator for all design projects.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in design management within the steel fabrication industry.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, SolidWorks).
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, codes, and design standards.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on delivering quality work.
