Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Sodexo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the food and beverage production, ensuring high-quality service, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the culinary operation and provide support for the production team
  • Direct the preparation and duties of the sous chef, commis chefs, chef de parties, and other kitchen staff
  • Arrange on and off duties for all staff and ensure a great work-life balance
  • Ensure strict adherence to all EHO guidelines and systems and monitor sanitation practices
  • Function menu planning and follow a set military dining menu
  • Improvise and maximize the use of existing stocks where necessary
  • Manage stock, oversee meal presentation, and liaise with the client for requests
  • Work with the FOH management team to drive service excellence
  • Ensure the team is fully trained and refreshed regularly to the client/Sodexo's standard

Requirements:

  • NVQ level 2/3 or experience working in a busy kitchen environment
  • IT skills, great technical communication, and Microsoft packages experience
  • Vast knowledge of food production methods
  • Extensive knowledge of allergens and the impact/awareness needed
  • Impeccable leadership skills
  • The ability to monitor your own performance and that of your colleagues
  • The ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
  • The ability to organize your time and workload
