Data Protection Specialist
Policing is a complex and dynamic environment, and the Police Federation of England and Wales is seeking a skilled Data Protection Specialist to join our team. As a Data Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization complies with data protection laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK GDPR and other data protection laws.
- Conduct data protection impact assessments and review processes to ensure that we are meeting our data protection obligations.
- Act as the main point of contact for data subjects and provide advice on data protection issues.
- Lead and process data incidents and data breaches, and manage responses and escalations.
- Provide advice on data protection and information governance to senior stakeholders and the General Counsel.
Requirements
- Experience of working in a policing or law enforcement environment.
- Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations, including the UK GDPR.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
