The Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher/Tutor to join our team at an independent special school in Wisbech. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a sequenced curriculum to pupils aged 11-16, focusing on social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake subject teaching responsibility and ensure all pupils develop their knowledge and skills.
  • Work with the Senior Leadership team to deliver a sequenced curriculum that builds knowledge and skills towards agreed end points.
  • Effectively monitor the progress of each pupil, checking their understanding systematically and effectively, putting in place clearly directed and timely interventions.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a qualified Teacher/Tutor with:

  • Qualified Teacher preferred but consideration will be given to other recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience of teaching to English to a secondary class/group.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver appropriate curriculum using a range of teaching styles and methodologies.
  • Experience within an SEN setting.
