At Prospero Teaching, we are seeking an individual to work with disengaged pupils in a SEMH School environment. The role involves providing opportunities for academic, social, and emotional progress, as well as serving as a positive role model.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sports and activity sessions, understanding individuals' personalities and needs, and offering guidance and mentoring. They must have an understanding/interest in sports and provide a safe environment to learn.

The ideal candidate will also deal with any challenging or disruptive behaviour, offer advice and support, and develop self-confidence, positive self-image, and independence among students. Additionally, they should be fully compliant with safeguarding policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need at least 6 months of experience working with children in the UK. A sports background and strong personality are also essential. A DBS on the update service is preferred but not a necessity. You will also need to be able to attain a reference from working with children or care.

We estimate that the salary for this role is around £25,000 - £30,000 per year, depending on experience.
