About the Role:
We are seeking a committed and confident psychology graduate to take on the role of Mental Health Assistant at our school in Swindon. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will work closely with students who display challenging behaviour and have mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, continuous support to students with Complex Learning Disabilities and significant Mental, Social and Emotional Needs.
- Work on a 1-1 basis with students who would benefit from extra concentrated support throughout the school day.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and mental well-being in students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Recent psychology graduate with a strong understanding of mental health and SEN.
- Excellent behaviour management skills and ability to work with students who display challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
- Commitment to providing high-quality support and promoting positive outcomes for students.
