Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Highway Maintenance Team in Central Bedfordshire. As Head of Highway Maintenance, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our road network, ensuring the safety and sustainability of our highways assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Highway Maintenance Team in delivering high-quality services to our community.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for highway asset management, routine and reactive maintenance, and highways structural maintenance.
  • Provide operational and strategic leadership to the Highway Maintenance services, ensuring excellent customer service and responsiveness.
  • Manage supplier relationships and contract performance, ensuring the delivery of revenue and capital programmes of work.
  • Advocate for continuous improvement and corporate change, leading by example in line with our Council's values.
