Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Planner to join our Transport Team at the Culina Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our transport operations, ensuring the efficient planning and execution of daily transport activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Transport and Warehouse teams to create and implement efficient transport plans using the latest Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Assemble and consolidate orders into loads, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers.
  • Plan and coordinate daily workload of fleet vehicles, including site and outbase operations.
  • Monitor and report on transport performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency.
  • Proactively address and resolve any issues or queries that may arise during transport operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of transport activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Transport and Warehouse teams, to ensure effective transport planning and execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying knowledge to continuously improve transport operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a transport and logistics environment, with a strong understanding of transportation planning and execution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex transport-related issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience using transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting changing transport demands.
