Engine Test Facilities Engineer

PE Global is seeking a highly skilled Engine Test Facilities Engineer to join our team in Stafford. This is a 12-month contract with a 4-day workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of calibration and maintenance tasks for the engine test cell, adhering to safety standards and best practices.
  • Support and lead project management activities, purchasing, installation, and commissioning of test cell equipment for engine test projects.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical malfunctions in the test cell facility or diesel engine components, assess the nature of the problem, and determine corrective action.
  • Comply with EHS tasks, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across the site.

Requirements:

  • City Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in an automotive or electrical subject.
  • Equivalent qualifications accepted (IMechE accreditation) or higher (HNC/HND/B.Eng.).
  • Time-served facilities or technicians considered.
  • PLC experience.
  • Electrical schematic diagrams experience.
  • Industrial and electrical maintenance experience.
  • Engine test bed control system experience.
  • Experience with both AC and DC voltage systems up to 480v.
  • Strong understanding of the electrical and mechanical requirements of a working engine test facility.
