About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a full shift middle grade on-call rota, providing 24/7 coverage for obstetric and gynaecological emergencies.
  • Attend theatres and antenatal and gynaecology clinics, providing expert care and support to patients.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring best practice and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in education and training programs, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Requirements
  • MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCOG Part 1 membership.
  • At least 3 years of middle grade experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Previous on-call experience, with a strong understanding of the challenges and demands of working in a high-pressure environment.
  • GMC registration with a licence to practice.
