Job Title: PRU Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a PRU School in Wandsworth. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in helping students aged 11-16 develop essential life skills, with the goal of supporting their reintegration into mainstream schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing individual support to students
  • Mitigate challenging behaviour and provide a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve their full potential
About the School:

Our PRU School is a Good Ofsted-rated institution that supports a total of 79 pupils who have not been able to maintain a place at a mainstream school. We are committed to providing a high-quality education and a supportive environment that enables our students to thrive.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a PRU or SEN setting
  • Behaviour management experience and ability to work with challenging students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide individualized support to students
