About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. As a Children's Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex health needs in the community setting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist care to children and young people with complex health needs, including epilepsy, enteral feeding, tracheostomy care, and home ventilation.
  • Work in a variety of clinical shifts, including nights, weekends, bank holidays, and twilight shifts.
  • Act as a Key Worker for individual children, providing high-quality, integrated assessment and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with a band 6/7 Specialist Nurse to provide comprehensive care to children and young people.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse with a strong background in community care.
  • Experience in mentoring, supporting, and developing staff.
  • Desirable: Community experience, ITU/HDU experience.
