Job Overview:

The role of a Residential Childcare Worker is to provide high-quality care and support to young people in a residential setting. This involves creating a safe and secure environment, advocating for the young person's needs, rights, and views, and promoting their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing daily care and support to young people, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and bedtime routines.
  • Implementing and maintaining clear boundaries and consequences to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Encouraging young people to participate in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is £26,364.00 - £27,783.60 per annum, plus a sleep-in allowance of £62.64 per shift. The location is Southampton, and the sector is Children and Young People with Additional Behaviours.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience working with children and young people, particularly those with additional behaviours. You will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
