Sharp Consultancy is seeking a highly motivated Trainee Financial Controller to join their expanding IT business. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management within a dynamic and growing company. The successful candidate will be immersed in a variety of tasks, from budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting, and will play a key role in shaping the financial strategies that drive business growth. Key responsibilities include: Financial Management
  • Production of financial statements, including P&L accounts, budgets, cashflows, and variance analysis
  • Assistance with the production of annual budgets
  • Continuous review of cashflow and production of forecasts
Reporting and Analysis
  • Provision of management reports for decision-making
  • Calculation and presentation of VAT
  • Monitoring of major project work
Leadership and Development
  • Involvement in senior leadership meetings
  • Participation in decision-making processes
The ideal candidate will be an active studier of ACCA/CIMA/ACA, a competent user of SAP, and have previous experience working in a commercial position. In return, Sharp Consultancy offers a development platform to become a FC or further within the business, full study support, car allowance after 12 months, and a bonus scheme.
