The ideal candidate will develop and implement a plan to diversify and decarbonize our vast transportation fleet's energy supply across air, rail, on-road, and maritime applications. We are looking for someone with extensive experience in the low-carbon fuels industry, a proven track record of leading successful sustainability projects, and knowledge of the transportation and/or logistics industry. The candidate should also have the ability to think strategically, navigate complex and ambiguous challenges, manage multiple large-scale projects across different technologies and stakeholder groups, and collaborate and influence effectively. Key responsibilities include becoming a Sustainability Champion, leading cutting-edge projects, shaping the future of sustainability, bridging the gap between policy and business, and sharing expertise in low-carbon fuels. The team Worldwide Operations Sustainability (WWOS) sets the vision and strategy for sustainability within Amazon ops, including the overarching strategy and interim targets to achieve the Climate Pledge by 2040. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: London, GBR. The basic qualifications include experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements, owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership, experience in program or project management, and experience in fuels, transportation, fuels or carbon trading, retail operations, and/or supply chain management. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
