Job Summary:

GSL Education - Lincoln is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Professional to join our team at a local secondary school. As a Learning Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience of students, working closely with faculty members to provide support in the classroom and assist with lesson delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the subject teacher.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help the teacher assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing feedback to support their development.
  • Support the school's behavior management policies to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with maintaining classroom discipline and engaging students in their learning activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in Primary or Secondary schools is essential.
  • Passion for supporting students and commitment to their educational development.
  • Adaptability and eagerness to learn and grow professionally.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine interest in education.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • An up-to-date CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
