Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer Gene-Sequencing/Life Sciences Industry 6-month Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevOps and software engineering, with a strong background in cloud technologies and programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable DevOps solutions for gene-sequencing projects
  • Collaborate with scientists to gather business requirements and translate them into DevOps needs
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure using GCP technologies such as Cloud Build, Cloud Storage, and GKE Kubernetes
  • Work with Lab info management systems (LIMS) and ensure seamless integration with DevOps tools
  • Provide expert-level support for DevOps and software engineering tasks
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with GCP Cloud technologies and DevOps tools such as Docker, Terraform, and Vertex AI
  • Background in software development with programming languages such as Python and React
  • Experience working on drug discovery projects alongside scientists
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
