As a Practitioner Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in leading the psychology provision throughout the region, while managing a small caseload of service users with complex needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Ensure that evidence-based interventions are embedded throughout the services.
  • Offer clinical guidance, training, and leadership across the partnership.
  • Use expertise to build on a range of innovative approaches, with people who use substances.
  • Provide practical advice on trauma-informed evidence-based psychological interventions.
  • Lead psychology input to local governance meeting structures.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to improve referral pathways.
  • Represent the service at strategic partnership meetings.

**Ideal Candidate:**

  • Qualified and highly specialized Psychologist (Doctorate level).
  • Registered through the Health and Social Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist.
  • Highly experienced in the specialism of substance misuse.
  • Excellent communication and adaptability skills.
  • Someone who is genuinely passionate about helping others.
  • A high level of empathy, understanding, and patience.
