Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bar Manager to join our Food & Beverage team at The Retreat Elcot Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the bar team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Train and motivate the bar team to achieve service standards and ensure that all team members are trained to the Company standard.
  • Maximize Customer Focus: Be present on the bar during every service and ensure that all customers receive exceptional service.
  • Inventory Management: Carry out periodic stock takes, place orders for all beverages, and maintain the condition of beer and wine.
  • Team Management: Complete all rotas to provide cover for the bar in line with the wage cost budget, participate in regular meetings to maximize communication between all departments, and handle deliveries.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that every team member has completed their compliance training, ensure that all company rules and regulations relating to Hygiene, Health and Safety are being followed, and keep up to date with licensing legislation, liaising with the authorities and take legal responsibility for the sale of alcohol.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team and drive sales growth.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Inventory Management Skills: Ability to manage inventory and maintain the condition of beer and wine.
