At YTL UK, we are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Scientist to lead our Ecology team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in project delivery-focused ecological roles, as well as people management and leadership skills.

Job Description:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of ecologists who provide services to engineering, construction, and operational projects across the region.
  • We are looking for someone with excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with colleagues, technical specialists, and external organizations.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A high level of organizational skills and ability to manage projects, workload, and deadlines.
  • Competent in UKHab and protected species appraisal surveys.
  • Good ecological report writing and reviewing skills, including Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRA).
  • A good understanding of the UK planning process and legal framework.
  • Competent in the use and implementation of Biodiversity Net Gain.
  • A clean UK driving license and access to own transport.
