About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Housing Solutions team as a Housing Solutions Officer (Tenancy Relations). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in tackling homelessness and providing support to vulnerable individuals.

Your primary responsibility will be to build strong relationships with tenants, focusing on solutions rather than problems. You will work closely with colleagues to arrange and develop outreach surgeries, online resources, and partnerships to prevent and reduce homelessness.

When receiving referrals, you will provide a rapid and effective response, ensuring we meet our duty to those in need. Your responsibilities will also include assessing, investigating, and verifying applications from individuals seeking to join the Housing Register, including conducting interviews.

You will have the opportunity to receive comprehensive training and support to excel in this role and progress within the team. Our training program covers a range of topics, including housing law, domestic abuse, and more.

To succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for tackling homelessness and a strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Lettings, Homelessness, and Housing Act. You will also need to be able to gather information, interpret complex issues, and provide creative solutions.
