Job Title: SEN Learner Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learner Assistant to provide one-on-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), assisting them in their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEN, helping them to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement tailored support strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a supportive and engaging atmosphere for all learners.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting the unique needs of learners.
  • Ability to adapt to various learning styles and implement diverse teaching strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car are preferred, as the school is located in Bury.
