Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer to join our team at Connect2Luton. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our client, Luton Borough Council, complies with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager: Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain key action and improvement plans, liaising with key managers across the service.
  • Discovery and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis across the service to inform the improvement programme.
  • Research and Recommendations: Conduct research into best practices and RSH inspection findings, making recommendations based on the findings.
  • Housing Ombudsman Monitoring: Monitor Housing Ombudsman findings, including maladministration and severe maladministration cases, and communicate these findings to the housing service.
  • Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison point for tenant representative groups, including the Tenant Board and Tenant Scrutiny Panel.
  • Training and Development: Assist in identifying training needs across the service and arranging training where necessary, supporting cultural change.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop and maintain a database of policies and procedures for the housing service, ensuring regular updates.
  • Evidence Management: Manage a database of evidence from across the service to support RSH and Consumer Standards requirements.
  • Communication and Updates: Prepare updates and communications for various audiences across housing services, including residents, on regulation, inspection, and Housing Ombudsman findings.
