About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Smile Education Recruitment. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in helping children with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with SEN in a classroom setting, on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation, as well as providing feedback to teachers on student progress
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social skills and relationships among students
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work with students of varying needs and abilities
  • Level 2 or higher qualification in Health and Social Care, Teaching Assistant, or equivalent
  • Confidence working with children on a 1:1 or small group setting
