**SEN Teaching Assistant**

Location: Erdington, Birmingham

Duration: Full time, on going

**Salary**: £85 - £95 per day

**The School/role**:
We are currently looking for an experienced SEND teaching assistant who can take on a full-time on-going job role in a Special Educational Needs provision in Erdington that supports children with SLD, ASD and PMLD. They are passionate about preparing students for life and supporting them to achieve their personal goal. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year.

The team within the school are very supportive and will help you along the way. The staff in the school aim to give the best possible educational experience for their students. This job opportunity is very fulfilling for people who have teaching assistant experience.

A new enhanced DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
- PECS and Makaton training/experience
- SLD, MLD, ASD and Complex needs experience
- Level 1 safeguarding certificate
- Recent school based references
- Valid Photo ID - Driving Licence or passport
- Full DBS - on the update service
