Senior Clinical Lead for Older People Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Older People Care services at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide clinical, strategic, and professional leadership to ensure that our patients receive safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Main Duties- Contribute to the strategic direction and leadership for Older People care services Trust-wide, in conjunction with senior medical colleagues.
- Function as an expert practitioner, able to deliver high-quality care to patients and families on their caseload – 50% of their time.
- Drive the training, education, and development of nurses and allied health professionals working in the department, through (but not limited to):
- Maintain and grow links with educational and academic providers.
- Grow the Trust-wide Older People Nursing Training Programme.
- Establish recognition, locally and beyond, for the Older People Nursing Training Programme.
- Drive improvement in service quality and patient experience for Older People both in hospital and in care homes in Lambeth and Southwark.
- Take a direct role in service development, research, and evaluation.
- Line manage the Dementia and Delirium Team, the Frailty Practitioner Lead, and the Kings Older People's Admission and Liaison (KOPAL) Lead, demonstrating a supportive, person-centred, and motivational approach.
- Represent the service at local, national, and international meetings to promote the Older Persons care agenda and academic teams.
