We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Animal Care Specialist to join our team at GLG Vets in Calne, Wiltshire. As part of our vibrant and growing veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional veterinary care to animals while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Job OverviewYou will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners, ensuring comprehensive care for patients through collaboration with veterinary nurses and support staff. Key responsibilities include performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
Key Responsibilities:- Performing routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments on a variety of animals.
- Conducting surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and other minor surgeries.
- Collaborating with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Providing guidance and advice to pet owners on general care, feeding, and wellness.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
- Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the UK.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
This role comes with an estimated annual salary of £57,500. The package also includes benefits such as annual leave plus Bank Holidays, CPD Allowance, and paid fees for VDS, RCVS, and BVA memberships.
