An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Neuro-Developmental and Learning Disabilities Team at West London NHS Trust.
Main DutiesAs a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work as an autonomous clinician to provide advanced mental health assessment and specialist intervention for children, young people, and families referred to the Service.
You will contribute to the leadership and development of the CAMHS Nursing Team and have the opportunity to be involved in service development, audit, research, and quality improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake highly specialist diagnostic assessments of children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions and co-morbid mental health problems.
- Offer a range of individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions, including risk management, appropriate for children and young people attending the Service.
- Develop and implement clear and robust operational policy and protocol.
- Lead the development and implementation of new structures and processes that impact on staff at all levels.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree/diploma in Nursing.
- Professional registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) RMN.
- Evidence of accredited courses in child and adolescent mental health practice.
- MSC level training in a relevant specialist field or appropriate experience.
- Mentorship/teaching and assessing qualification.
- Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification.
