Our flagship center for cardiac services at St Bartholomew's Hospital provides a full range of surgical and medical services, including orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology, and urology services.

Our hospital features 55 beds, including 7 specialist intensive care beds, four of the most advanced digital operating theatres, an Endoscopy and minor ops theatre, with 28 consultation rooms, a Cardiac catheterisation lab, Oncology Day unit, and a full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography, and general X-ray.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Imaging Professional to join our team as a Senior CT Rotational Radiographer. This role will involve delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services for a varied caseload, working with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), postgraduate qualifications, and high levels of technical knowledge.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including access to our gyms, private healthcare, financial advice, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload
  • Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice
  • Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment, and facilities
  • Supervise and develop junior colleagues
  • Aware of MRI safety in line with local rules
  • To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC
  • Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme
  • Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers
  • Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose and, can report faults in line with Nuffield Health policy
  • Competency in IV cannulation is essential
  • Provide input to the review, update, and implementation of departmental policy and procedural changes
  • Comply with all Nuffield Health policies and procedures
  • Ensure all records are maintained in line with statutory and organisational requirements
  • Participation in General x-ray
  • Participate in on call rota (must be able to attend site within one hour of call activation)
